Check out the Calendar to see what events are happening in the CMC! Any large groups expected at our base lodges Kennedy (Arthur’s Pass) and Wyn Irwin (Mt Cook Village) are shown on the calendar. We recommend checking the calendar before staying at the CMC lodges.
If you have any trip or event you want to open up to the club, please contact the Trips Officer with details about your event and it will be added to the calendar.

The CMC was formed on the 10th April 1925 with a membership base of around 27 adventurers. Originally formed as a tramping club, outings on the Port Hills around Christchurch, and further afield to the foothills of Canterbury were the usual activity.
